Seriously, I swear that is all I dealt with all night long. "But, I have a sick baby at home." "But, my son just got taken to the emergency room." "But, I've got a flat tire and I'm 45 miles away from any sort of civilization." Listen people, I really don't care enough about your problems to jeopardize my job. You're life is shit. I get it. Wanna know what mine was like before I got the job to sit here and tell you what I can and cannot do for you? Gee, it was shit, just like yours. I'm not going back to it, thank you. Ichiban rule of the universe, life's a bitch and then you die. The only thing that makes this life worth living is how you live it. Believe me, calling me to ask me for credits you know you are not due is a serious waste of that life. Why waste it?
On a lighter note, it's FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!
So...I did not break my promise to myself. I am not reading Twilight. I might be listening to the audio book. So, alright, I'll admit it. It's not as bad as I had imagined. That being said. W. T. F. I still have mostly the same issues with it that I had before, but now I have the humor of the oneliners to off-set my incredulity. I'm still not understanding after having had one discussion about the fact that Edward is a vampire that a seventeen year old is suddenly "unconditionally and irrevocably in love" with said vampire. I also don't think it was all that clear by that particular quote that Ed was obsessed with drinking her blood till death, but that's just me. Maybe she really was that intuitive. Personally, I don't think any seventeen year-old is that intuitive. Again, that being said, I can understand how a seventeen year-old would think that she was "unconditionally and irrevocably in love" with said vampire. I'm certain I must have said something to that affect at least once when I was seventeen, but in this instance it's true. And all of this after a collective grand total of like...what...two weeks of actual contact with him? Maybe? *shrugs* It is obvious to me that this really was written for a much younger, audience. Of course, I think that though, I have a few problems with the book, it is a vastly good idea. Not only is the book so contagious that even Kai and I have broken down to find out what all the fuss is about and because of that it is getting another generation interested in reading for pleasure, which is always a good thing, but it also teaches a younger--and sometimes older--generation about abstinence, which another awesomely good thing. Two very, outrageously good things that this series does that I will at least respect enough not to make too horrible fun at it.
So, I think that's enough rambling tonight. Ja~!
